Marjoriet Matute
CEO, Founder, & Cancer Survivor
Marjoriet Matute is a cancer survivor who promised to give back...and has kept her promise! Diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma
in 1999 at the age of 17, she received an extensive amount of chemotherapy and radiation over the course of a year. As a high
school junior, she was suddenly thrown into a lifestyle of questionable uncertainties. After finishing treatment in July 2000, she continued senior year as a completely different person.
During her treatments in the hospital, she witnessed first-hand as a teen patient how both children and parents coped with illness. Her own parents fought financial and emoitional battles but with the help of volunteers and hospital staff, they were always able to get by. Marjoriet's gratitude for their support and love can never be measured.
Now a busy mom of two, Marjoriet juggles more than the average woman. With a 9-5 job on a popular golf course, this culinary school graduate spends her days engaging with golfers and ensuring her guests are pleased. Serving as President of DTGB, attending social networking engagements throughout NYC and dealing with her two little men, Devin
& Tristan, she continues to stay on her toes and does not shy away
from opportunity.
In between mom hours and events, Marjoriet finds time to write as a frequent contributor and blogger on the Huffington Post and CNN. There is never a dull moment for this mom but with her passion to GIVE BACK she finds time, energy and resources to make DTGB the success it has been thus far and is positive that its success will be highly influential.
Who are Devin & Tristan?
Devin & Tristan are the two sons of the founder of DTGB, Majoriet Matute. After chemo and radiation, doctors told Marjoriet that she would not be able to concieve. That might have been true medically but someone else had a bigger plan for her. After meeting the love of her life, they were blessed with their first son, Devin, in 2009 and second son, Tristan, in 2011.
These two beautiful baby boys are her miracle sons, inspiring her to never lose hope and to be thankful daily. Marjoriet's battle with cancer serves as a constant reminder of her struggle. Utilizing DTGB as the perfect opportunity to revisit her past, she inspires communities to get involved with help from her team. Giving thanks to the many people who never lost hope or who helped secure a healthy life for her is mandatory so incorporating the boys to actively get involved was the next obvious step. Her son's charity now serves as an opportunity to teach daily lessons, learn the value of life, give back, and truly make a difference.
Isabel Fuentes-Garcia

As DTGB's active humanitarian, Isabel is constantly keeping us to date on environmental issues. She takes a hands-on approach to recycling issues and all animal rescue efforts. Isabel has a deep appreciation for her red nose pitbull, Nala and tries to educate anyone who thinks differently about this gorgeous breed of dogs. Her passions for travel runs deep into her free spirit approach to life. Living with her best friend turned husband, Isabel aims to start her own family soon, if her chaotic schedule allows. Working full time as a Dental Hygienist keeps this motivated godmother on her toes.
Aura Gueche
Director of Special Events
Senorita Gueche has her hands full in and out of school. Since graduating Ramapo College, Aura has graced the stage of her middle school classroom as the most animated Spanish teacher you can find. This naturally funny girl keeps herself busy and actively involved within her school district. Noticeably the same last name as Devin & Tristan, she holds double duty title as godmother and aunt. Married to a sailor means her time is dedicated to DTGB while her husband defends our country and helps create opportunities for his nephews. With family first serving as Aura's motto, she dedicates 100% of her attention to helping us shed light on monthly spotlights close to her heart.
Michele Pinto
Volunteer & Donation
Coordinator
Michele is the outgoing, outspoken yet caring member of DTGB. Her effervescent personality and passion for nonprofit work extends into all aspects of her life. Besides DTGB, she works at Palisades Medical Center, another nonprofit, and donates her time to assisting in rescues for animals. As an animal lover, she has introduced DTGB to helping animals and gaining more attention to certain nonkill shelters. An advocate of healthy living, Michele promotes staying active and participates in races that give back and has successfully involved DTGB in becoming more active in races like the Spartan Race, Tough Mudder, Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers, Color Run and Run the Palisades. An educated professional, Michele received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration: Marketing and Management from Ramapo College and her MBA in Healthcare Administration from St. Peter's University. Michele hopes to continue her journey of helping others through event planning and fundraising for important causes to her and her community.
Nina Marrero
Designer
Nina has been our Designer since the beginning of DTGB's identity. As an alumni of The University of the Arts with international training from Basel, Switzerland, she has grown into a professional Graphic Designer specializing in print, interactive, and web design. Along with her love of the digital world, art and design, she constantly incorporates her love of cooking to her daily route as part-time baker in New York City. It is perhaps the cutest of the many hats she wears -as an artist, bookbinder, and printmaker too. A believer that there's beauty in everything that surrounds us, she's an avid Instagrammer (@_kneenah).
