"Mom's Night Out" was intended for moms to come together share stories, bond and relate to our daily issues & battles. Together we realized that all issues were common and not unusual at all. Sharing our most embarrassing stories linked us and assured us that no matter how bad you thought you had it...someone has it a bit worse. Children are our joys and most prized possession; bonding with them is what really impacts the adults they will one day become. Besides the quiet moments of the evening that reminded us that we were child-free for the evening or the lack of reprimanding that took place, we held adult conversations and made new friends.

The "Awesome Factor" that made these moms unique was a mandatory question asked when they introduced themselves. Ranging from frequent traveler, artist, comedian or even a hidden tattoo gallery...these ladies all had one amazing thing in common, they held a Supermom title! Waking up and prepping daily activities, chores, errands, cleaning, homework, laundry, car pools, sports, birthday parties and keeping everything together is not an easy job...but we do it every day. The pay is in hugs & kisses and the tasks are never ending, but not a single day goes by that we would consider our lives any other way.

DTGB wanted to salute moms and reward them with a simple night to come together and eat with no interruptions and talk about whatever came to mind. We accomplished it all and more. We had a few laughs as we posed as Supermoms and snapped candid laughs. We want this group to develop and become a tool where moms can come together and seek guidance amongst each other. New moms, toddler moms, teen moms or even college moms all have different point of views that can help other woman.

Coming together in my home was intentional and hosting a potluck was a great way to have the ladies participate in the evening. I wanted these ladies to come into a comfortable setting that was somewhat familiar. For future "Mom's Night Out" events, I hope to expand our group and offer support for others.

Our initial meeting was a great icebreaker so we can later come together and grow a bond, but we are looking to really reach out to the mom who wants to talk, express concerns, or have great advice for others. Stay tuned for future events and contact us if you feel you would like to attend a future "Mom's Night Out".

An evening of laughs, bonding & and nothing but mom time!

Brainstorming for future projects

DTGB has a goal to develop several different programs this year. "Tiempo con Mami" is a mother/daughter project we are currently working on. We needed input on different ideas that children ranging from kindergarden to 5th gade would enjoy participating in with a parent. We utilized this event to pick apart these mom's brains and gathered tons of fun ideas for our program.

Never leave home without them...

As a small surprise, I worked on a gift for the ladies who attended. All personal frames that captured the theme and showcased the children of our lives. Everyone left with a smile and a child in hand.

The ladies of the evening wanted to extend a huge Thank You to our photographer for the evening. Christy Perez spent the evening capturing us as we proudly spoke of our children. We are grateful to have had you join us!
