Latinas Giving Back to Hurricane Victims

There is NOTHING that I love more (other than my kids) than helping people. It is the driving force that feeds my soul and motivates me to continue reinventing myself. Aside from that, connecting with people and empowering come in as a close second. One of the most valuable tools I use is social media and if you use it right, you'll meet exceptional people. I have not had the pleasure of meeting Alexis myself, but in effort to raise money for my nonprofit’s Halloween party last year, this stranger took from her own and sent in a donation so the kids in attendance could enjoy a safe and super lit party. Her generosity did not go unnoticed and will forever be appreciated.

So, with the recent tragedies in Mexico and Puerto Rico, as an owner of a nonprofit, people look to me for ways to help. Well, Alexis has my full support and I encourage you all to not only support her business, but her cry to help the victims of this massive attack from Mother Nature.

As she stated on her IG page, ” In an effort to contribute as best I can and in solidarity with the people of Puerto Rico and Mexico, I have decided to reduce the price of all “Yo Soy” necklaces to $25 and donate 100% of the proceeds to organizations assisting in relief efforts due to Hurricane Maria and the recent earthquake.
